Helping women and girls live their dreams
Soroptimist of Humboldt Bay knows that our strength lies not only in the words we stand by, but most importantly through the actions of our initiatives. We're a global volunteer organization that provides women and girls with access to the education and training they need to achieve economic empowerment.
We are a local club of Soroptimist International, a global volunteer organization with a vision of providing women and girls the resources and opportunities to reach their full potential and live their dreams.

Making A Difference
HIGH HEELS FOR HEALING
Based on the old saying, “You can’t really understand another person’s experience until you have walked in their shoes,” this lighthearted event increases awareness of women’s issues by featuring prominent local men strolling in women’s shoes. The funds raised from this event help to support our club's donations into our local and global community.
AWARDS AND SCHOLARSHIPS
At Soroptimist of Humboldt Bay, we are dedicated to supporting women and girls in our community through a combination of scholarships, awards, recognition, mentoring and encouragement. Our annual awards honor women that support other women, women who are returning to their education after a break, and to women who "Live their Dream", whatever that might be. PLEASE SEE OUR AWARDS AND SCHOLARSHIP PAGE FOR APPLICATIONS
Our goal is to support non-profit groups that support women and girls in Humboldt County. In 2019 we distributed $30,000.00 within Humboldt County.
